Europarliament calls for special tribunal on Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine
On Jan. 19, 2023, the European Parliament adopted a resolution for creating a special tribunal to punish Russian crimes against Ukraine.
The decision was approved by 472 votes.
In the resolution, members of parliament demand the Russian political and military leadership be held accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. MEPs stress that it must have jurisdiction to investigate not only Vladimir Putin and Russian political and military leadership but also Aliaksandr Lukashenka and his cronies in Belarus.
