European Parliament approved €5 billion loan to Ukraine

Members of the European Parliament gave the green light to a €5 billion loan to Ukraine. 534 MEPs voted for such a decision during a plenary session on September 15, 2022.
A macro-financial loan will help Ukraine cover its acute financing needs caused by Russia’s invasion.
According to Europarlament, it is the second and largest tranche of a €9 billion EU support package.
