Finland to deliver three Leopard 2 mine clearing tanks to Ukraine

Finland will deliver the 13th package of defense materiel to Ukraine. It includes three Leopard 2 mine clearing tanks to Ukraine and training related to their use and maintenance.

“Friday 24 February marks the one-year anniversary of the start of Russia’s war of aggression, and Ukraine continues to need support in its defense. We will send more defense materiel and participate in the Leopard cooperation together with our partners,” says Minister of Defense of Finland Mikko Savola.

The total value of this aid package is over €160 million. The combined value of all defense materiel packages submitted by Finland so far is now €750 million.
