For 8 months of war Mykolaiv lived without Russian shelling only 44 days

The southern city of Mykolaiv has been under constant Russian shelling since the beginning of the full-scale war. Out of 255 days of the war, Mykolaiv was not attacked by Russia for only 44 days, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych reports.
According to him, 149 civilians were killed by Russian missiles, and 698 people were seriously wounded in Mykolaiv.
“For 255 days of the war, Mykolaiv was not shelled only 44 days, all other days we were under siege. Thatʼs why people donʼt stay here — they donʼt feel safe,” the mayor noted.
He added that out of 486,000 city residents about 220,000-230,000 people remained in Mykolaiv today.
