Forbidden cluster munitions were fired at Mykolaiv — Prosecutor General of Ukraine

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine informed that under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s office, a pre-judicial investigation is being carried out into possible violation of laws and customs of war (ch. 1 item 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on May 16, 2022, Russian troops fired at one of the Mykolaiv city districts using cluster munitions prohibited by international norms.

As a result of the shelling, one man received shrapnel wounds.
