Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament recognized the Russian regime as a terrorist

“The Committee on Foreign Affairs defines the current Russian regime as a terrorist regime in accordance with the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe,” Committee’s resolution reads.

The resolution was voted for by 12 out of 14 deputies who are members of the Сommittee.

The deputies condemned Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and, in particular, attacks on civilians, civilian objects, and key infrastructure.

They noted that the main targets of the latest wave of attacks were governmental institutions and energy infrastructure facilities in a large part of Ukraine, which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties.

In the resolution, the Committee also noted that the actions of the Russian troops and other armed groups created with the support of the Russian authorities meet the criteria of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the perpetrators must be punished.
