Former Ukrainian champion in water polo Vitalii Lisun killed during hostilities

Vitalii Lisun, the former champion of Ukraine in water polo, was killed in the battle with the Russian invaders, the Federation of Water Polo of Ukraine reports.

Lisun joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to study abroad; after that, he went to the front line and performed combat missions. A 44-year-old fighter died in Kharkiv region.

“This is an incredible, catastrophic loss for the water polo family of Ukraine. A person who was always devoted to his work, who loved and supported the development of water polo in Ukraine with all his heart, died,” said Oleksandr Svishchov, the President of the Federation of Water Polo of Ukraine.
