Four months of full-scale war in numbers

Four months ago, Russia started the full-scale war against Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, at 5 am, Russian missiles hit Ukrainian cities, and its military invaded the country. During these months, Ukrainians have shown unity, courage, and strength. The whole world got inspired by Ukraine’s resilience.
But Russia is a cruel aggressor and wages war by brutal methods. Every day its troops destroy Ukrainian cities, kill the Ukrainian citizens, target cultural monuments and schools, and ruin the Ukrainian economy.
It is a war of very heavy and painful losses for Ukraine. At the same time, this is the war of freedom as Ukraine on the battlefield is defending the peace of Europe and the world. That’s why the world must help Ukraine defeat Russia and then rebuild Ukraine together.
Together with our friends from “Ukraine Shortly,” we share with you the numbers of losses Russia has inflicted on Ukraine during the four months of the war.

Thousands of people live under occupation and suffer from the crimes of Russian troops.

The front is 2,450 km wide, of which 1,135 km are under active combat operations, as of June 12, 2022, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
