France recognizes Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide against Ukrainians

The lower house of the French parliament, the National Assembly, has recognized man-made famine in Ukraine of 1932-1933, the Holodomor, as genocide of the Ukrainian people. The resolution adopted by French deputies emphasizes “the genocidal nature of the forced and planned famine by the Soviet authorities against the Ukrainian population in 1932 and 1933”. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hailed the decision of the French parliament on Twitter. “The totalitarian regime of the Kremlin, past or present, could not destroy and will never destroy truth and justice!” Zelenskyy said.
