“Freedom and independence of Ukraine is the freedom and independence of Poland. Thank you for protecting us”
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Błaszczak arrived in Ukraine on July 12, 2022. He visited war-torn towns in Kyiv region and met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy thanked Poland and its defense department for supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russia.
“The Ministry of Defense of Poland supports the Ukrainian army, the strength of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This confirms that we are together in the current difficult situation — in this tragedy that is happening now in Ukraine due to Russian aggression,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“Russia is a threat to Poland. Therefore, we want to be neighbors with free Ukraine, and not with Russia — that is why we support Ukraine. As the Minister of Defense of Ukraine said today, our cooperation began even before the outbreak of the war,” said Mariusz Błaszczak.
“The freedom and independence of Ukraine is the freedom and independence of Poland. Thank you for protecting us,” he added.
