Germany to allocate funds for the restoration of Odesa Philarmonic Theater

Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and Germany’s Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media Claudia Roth have agreed on the allocation of funds to restore the Odesa Philharmonic Theater.

“During Ms. Roth’s visit, we visited the historical center of Odesa, the Odesa Film Studio, the Odesa Philharmonic Theater, the Opera and Ballet Theater, and the National Scientific Library of Odesa. We had time to discuss many important issues: the inclusion of Odesa in the main list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, initiated by the Ministry of Information Policy and Culture and the city hall, and the full support of Germany in this process,” Tkachenko wrote.
