Global Firepower: Ukraine ranks 15th among the world’s strongest armies

Ukraine is ranked as the 15th strongest army in the world in the annual Global Firepower 2023 Military Strength Ranking. In last year’s index, Ukraine’s army was ranked 22nd.

“As Ukraine continues its defense against Russia, it has increased its GFP index score for the current year as a result of its response, financial and material backing from the West, and introduction of new key categories which benefit its overall placement on the list,” says the Global Firepower.
