Great Russian ideas about the subjugation of other nations belong not only to Putin but to a large part of Russian society

President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that Russia’s imperial aspirations are not only ideas of Vladimir Putin but also a large part of Russian society — and thanks to Ukraine, this threat is under control for now.
“Ukraine defends Poland, Europe, including Germany. If Ukraine had not been able to resist Putin’s imperial plans by putting up heroic resistance, Poland and the Baltic states would have been directly threatened by a further expansion of the Russian sphere of influence to Central Europe,” Andrzej Duda told “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.”
“The Russian ideas we are talking about are not only those of Vladimir Putin himself, a large part of Russian society is saturated with them, where journalists talk about Russia, which reaches as far as Polish Kalisz. These are Great Russian ideas that consist in subjugating other nations. Thanks to Ukraine, this threat is currently being contained. However, I think that this danger will, unfortunately, become relevant again in the future,” he added.
