Andrey Kurkov’s novel “Grey Bees” entered the list of the Best Books of 2022 by The New Yorker.

The book was written in 2018, four years after Russian-backed forces unleashed war in Donbas. It tells about two men living in the “grey zone”— the twenty miles or so between the armed camps of Ukrainian troops and Russian-backed troops, three years after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014.
