Hearts of Ukrainians don’t need a key to be open, they are always open — Salvador Sobral, a singer
Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral wrote a “letter of love to Ukrainians”, which was published by Vogue Ukraine. Ukraine became a special place for him, as in Kyiv he won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. “That day was very important for me because it changed my career and my whole life. Ukraine has become my place of change,” — Salvador Sobral said.
The singer says Ukrainians are very open and cheerful people. “It was great to see: a country under construction and with a long history already. I remember seeing many buildings in Lviv and Kharkiv being restored and built. It gave me the feeling that the country was moving and developing. The people I met were proud to be Ukrainian,” the singer added.
“Ukraine is a free and independent country, it must remain so and continue to develop and build its future. It’s her mission. My heart together with Ukrainians. Glory to Ukraine!” — Salvador Sobral said.
