Hebrew University of Jerusalem raised $650,000 for a scholarship program for Ukrainians

The initiative of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will allow many Ukrainian students who fled their homes because of the war to study at one of the best universities in the world. The university raised $650,000 for a scholarship program for Ukrainians.

The Hebrew University is the oldest institution of higher education in Israel, founded in 1925. Among its founders were Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud. For 5 out of 12 Israeli Nobel Prize winners, the Hebrew University was the alma mater.

Now Ukrainians will also be able to study within the walls of the famous university.

That is not the only initiative of the Israeli universities. Seven girls from Ukraine have recently become students of Tel Aviv University, and the Bar-Ilan International School program has provided such an opportunity for ten boys.
