Historic win: Yaroslava Mahuchikh became the champion of Europe in the high jump

Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh won gold at the European Championships in the high jump. She became the first in the history of Ukraine champion of Europe in the high jump.

Due to fewer attempts, Mahuchikh won with a 1.95 m high jump.

The athlete dedicated her win to the Ukrainian people.

“Our people wait for good news, and it is a pleasure for them to see my gold medal. I want to show that we are a strong people, a strong nation and that we can fight until the end,” said Mahuchikh, reports Athletics Weekly.
