House of Commons of the UK Parliament recognizes Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people

The House of Commons of the British Parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as the genocide of the Ukrainian people. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to British parliamentarians for such a decision.

“This is another powerful voice in restoring historical justice and perpetuating the memory of millions of Ukrainians who were starved to death. The world unites to establish the truth,” he wrote on Twitter. The man-made famine — the Holodomor — was arranged by the Soviet authorities in 1932-1933.
