How Kherson residents celebrate the liberation of the city

After being for the 8-month under the Russian occupation, the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson was liberated. Ukrainian troops entered the city on November 11, 2022.

After the liberation, Kherson residents went on the streets to cheerfully greet the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by CNN, people have been climbing onto the tops of the buildings, including the cinema, in the square to erect Ukrainian flags. Soldiers driving through are greeted with cheers and asked to sign autographs on the flags. Some Kherson residents sang patriotic songs.

“This is just a moment of euphoria. Just a moment of celebration. Where people can come into the square and show their flags,” CNN journalist Nic Robertson reported from the scene.
