How Ukrainians hid Ukrainian flags while under occupation
A touching video about how the people of Kherson hid Ukrainian flags from the Russian invaders has spread across social media.
In the video, Ukrainian women show how they hid the national flag in the yard under the paving stones. The flag was preserved in good condition.
“Wet but alive,” a woman in the video said when unfurling the national symbol. She then hugged it and carried it into the house.
Many residents of occupied cities resorted to hiding their Ukrainian flags using drastic means so as to protect them from being destroyed by the Russian occupying forces.
