Hundreds of pairs of shoes symbolizing Ukrainian children who died as a result of Russian aggression put on display in Berlin to draw attention to Russian crimes

The Ukrainian community in Berlin put hundreds of pairs of shoes on display; they symbolize Ukrainian children killed in Russian aggression. The action “Achtung Kinder” (“Attention Children”) aims to draw world attention to Russian crimes against civilians, especially children.

According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 459 children were killed in the Russian war, and 917 received injuries of various degrees of severity.
