“I strongly renew my appeal for all Russian perpetrators to be held responsible by the international criminal justice”

Leaders of Romania, France, Germany, and Italy visited the war-torn town of Irpin in Kyiv region, which was almost ruined by Russian invaders.

“No words to describe the unimaginable human tragedy and horrible destructions we saw today in Irpin. I strongly renew my appeal for all Russian perpetrators to be held responsible by the international criminal justice, which Romania fully supports,” said Klaus Iohannis, Romanian president, after visiting war-torn Irpin.

President of France Emmanuel Macron has commended the heroism of Ukrainians in the face of Russian barbarism during a visit to Irpin, Kyiv region.

“We all have seen the pictures of a devastated town, which is also a hero town, because it was here, in particular, that the Ukrainians stopped the Russian army, which was advancing on Kyiv. So you have to imagine the heroism of the army, but also of the Ukrainian population,” Macron stressed, French TV channel BFMTV reports.

“Like Bucha, Irpin has long since become a symbol for the unimaginable cruelty of the Russian war, for senseless violence. The brutal destruction in this city is a memorial — this war must end,” said German chancellor Olaf Sholz on Twitter.
