“I thank all the brave Ukrainian men and women defending and protecting our values. I know that you will not give up. Neither will we”

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, congratulated Ukrainians on the Defenders of Ukraine Day and pledged more support for the war-torn country.

“I thank you not only for defending your country, your territory. But for risking your own lives to protect us and our values. Values of freedom, democracy, equality, and rule of law. I know that these values are very close to your heart,” Metsola said in a video address.

“I know that you will not give up. Neither will we,” she added.
