“I’m thinking about everybody who is dealing with the war right now” Arcade Fire dedicates Coachella surprise performance song to Ukrainians
The Canadian rock band Arcade Fire surprised concert-goers by making an impromptu performance at the Coachella music festival.
Arcade Fire has been outspoken about its position towards Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, they have even hosted concerts for the benefit of Ukraine, raising over $100K to aid the country during the atrocities that are being committed against its citizens. They dedicated the song “The Suburbs” to the youth and Ukrainians in general.
“I want to dedicate this to everyone in Ukraine. Everyone in a punk rock band in Ukraine right now. I’m thinking about everybody who is dealing with the war right now,” Win Butler, Arcade Fire’s frontman.
