Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, air raid warnings in Kyiv sounded 309 times, and their total duration exceeded 500 hours — 37% of the time of all 56 days of the war.

Kyiv’s air raids warnings in numbers:

  • First alarm: February 24 at 7:12. Longest: 4 hours 9 minutes (March 11 from 3:48 to 7:57)
  • Shortest: two alarms lasted less than a minute.
  • The average duration of air alarms: 64 minutes.
  • Maximum number per calendar day: 12 (March 1)
  • Longest time per calendar day: 14 hours (March 4)
  • Minimum number per calendar day: 1 (April 9, 10, 13, 17, and 19)
  • Shortest duration per calendar day: 12 minutes (April 13)
  • Longest alarm-free period: 42 hours (April 19-20)
