In August 2022, about 60,000 people were evacuated from five Ukrainian regions

Over 60,000 Ukrainians have been evacuated from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions over the past month, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reports.

“Most regions of our country continue to host internally displaced persons coming from the frontline and occupied territories. Over the past month only, more than 60,000 of our citizens have been evacuated from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions, most of them are women, children, the disabled, and the elderly. And this process continues daily,” said the Minister for Reintegration, Iryna Vereshchuk.
