In August, Ukrainian exports grew up by 25% — sunflower oil and corn are among the leaders

In August 2022, the volume of Ukrainian exports increased by 25% and amounted to 7.29 million tons. In monetary terms, exporters received $3.36 billion, which is $411 million more than in July 2022, according to the information by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The export increase is connected with the partial unblocking of the ports of Great Odesa. It enabled to increase in the volume of export of Ukrainian goods significantly. As a result, transportation by sea transport increased by 85% and amounted to almost 2.9 million tons. Ukraine exported more than 3 million tons of goods by rail and 1.36 million tons by road.
At the same time, exporters receive the largest revenue from goods exported by road — $1.48 billion, sea cargo worth $995 million, and rail — $788 million.
The leaders in terms of export value in August 2022 became sunflower oil ($443 million), its export volumes increased by 30% to 366,000 tons, and corn ($347 million), its export increased by 31% to 1.5 million tons. Among other products are rapeseed, wheat, ore, cable products, electricity, sunflower seeds, poultry meat, and soy.
