In Kherson region, Russians are forcing farmers to hand over 70% of the harvest to buyers from temporarily occupied Crimea

According to the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Near Nova Kakhovka and Berislav, Kherson region, the Russian military is forcing farmers to hand over 70% of the harvest to Crimean buyers.

It is said that purchase prices [offered by Crimean buyers] are sometimes about 10% of the retail price.

“At the same time, there is a ban on the export of crops to the territories controlled by Ukraine. There are cases when entrepreneurs distribute strawberries and cherries to the population for free,” the statement said.
