In order to end the war, a clear perspective of Ukraine’s membership in NATO is needed

The possibility of Ukraine joining NATO, which will be decided upon at the upcoming summit in Vilnius, will send a strong message to Russia that the war is coming to an end. This was stated by the Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, in an interview with the magazine Spiegel, according to his Telegram channel.
“Putin must see the futility of his war and the unwavering support of the democratic world for Ukraine. As a result, the security agreement must be supported by the presidents of state and government of NATO members, who must also outline a clear path to joining the Alliance. President Volodymyr Zelensky will be able to start the process of establishing a just and long-lasting peace if they act now. On the other side, prolonging the procedure will motivate the Kremlin to carry on its illegal conflict,” he said.
