In Russian-occupied territories, an increase in crime has been recorded

Vadym Dziubynskyi, head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine: “Although overall crime rate (in Ukraine – ed.) decreased by 25 percent over the past six months, and the level of serious crimes has remained at the same level as last year, the number of intentional murders has increased, due to murders committed in occupied and liberated territories.

During active hostilities, there is a large number of unrecorded crimes, trophies, and lost weapons, which enter peaceful territories in different ways. There, they are further distributed, stored, and also used to commit various types of crimes.”
