International partners must find a solution to be able to restore Ukraine at the expense of frozen Russian assets — PM of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal

If Russians leave the territory of Ukraine and Ukraine gets safety guarantees from its partners — the country will have an opportunity to recover by using frozen Russian assets, said Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister said they are discussing with the United States and other partners the possibility of transferring Russia’s frozen assets to Ukraine.

“This should be a very good case for future possible aggressors. They all should understand that world society, and the world community will take all of their assets and will pay with these assets for this country, which is suffering because of their aggression. So this is a very important international issue and task and goal, the international goal for all civilized world to find a solution how to take these frozen assets and finance recovery of Ukraine in this case,” Shmyhal said.

He stressed it is important to find such a solution for Ukraine and subsequently make it the standard for the future.
