Ireland supports Ukraine’s accession to the European Union as soon as possible

Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney stated Ireland supports Ukraine’s speedy accession to the EU, Bild reports.
He noted that many Ukrainians are motivated by the dream of a different future, the future that people have today in the EU, in terms of peace, stability, prosperity, and democracy.
Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs emphasized that a country that is fighting for its survival against a military superpower “should be able to hope for full EU membership, not some partial membership or neighborhood agreement.”
