Ireland supports Ukraine’s application for EU membership

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin said that he supports Ukraine’s application to join the European Union.

“It is the democratic right of Ukraine and the people of Ukraine to decide their political orientation,” said Irish PM after Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s address to the Parliament of Ireland.

The Prime Minister also said that Ukrainian refugees are welcomed. Over 18,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Ireland.
