“Israel stands by Ukraine and by the Ukrainian people in their difficult times”

On Feb. 16, 2023, Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen visited Ukraine for the first time since Russia’s full-scale aggression began. He visited the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region, which was heavily damaged during the occupation by Russian forces. “It is impossible to remain indifferent in the face of the harsh sights and horror stories that I have heard and been exposed to. Israel condemns any intentional harm to innocents,” Israel’s Foreign Minister stated in Bucha.
