It is not the duty of Lithuania or any other country to save Russians from mobilization

Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Simonyte said that Russian citizens had enough time to express their standpoint on Russia’s war against Ukraine. Therefore, now, it is not the duty of other countries to save Russians fleeing from mobilization.

“The war began in 2014, whereas this invasion started on February 24. So people had some time to decide what their position was concerning this war. It would be incomprehensible for me if we allowed people to enter Lithuania on humanitarian grounds only because the war was OK for them when they saw it on TV, sitting on a sofa, but it is no longer OK when your government and your Shoigu call you to join the army and offers to take part in the war with your own physical body,” Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte stressed.
