Kyiv and Copenhagen to become twin cities

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, are becoming twin cities, Lord Mayor of Copenhagen Sophie Hæstorp Andersen informed.

According to her, the goal is to show support for Kyiv and Ukraine.

She noted that Denmark hosted several thousand Ukrainians last year. And now, the country does its best to help those people in difficult times, hoping they can do more for their homeland.

In 2022, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, eight cities became the twin cities of Kyiv: Madrid, Lyon, Marseille, Oslo, Barcelona, Sarajevo, and Dublin.
