Kyiv’s Arsenalna metro station is the second world’s deepest station

Arsenalna is a station in Kyiv and is currently one of the deepest stations in the world at 105.5 metres (346 ft). This is attributed to Kyiv’s geography where the high bank of the Dnieper River rises above the rest of the city.
Also unusual is the station’s design, which lacks a central concourse and is thus similar in layout to stations on the London Underground. After the Russian invasion on 24 February, 2022 — Arsenalna became a bomb shelter.
