Latvia has sent 1% of GDP in military aid to Ukraine

Latvian military aid to Ukraine has reached 1% of gross domestic product (GDP) or approximately €370 million, Latvia’s Defense Minister Ināra Mūrniece said, LRT reports.

Mūrniece reaffirmed that Latvia was ready for long-term support for Ukraine until its victory over Russia.

The latest military aid package from Latvia includes “Tens of Stinger air defense systems, two Mi-17 helicopters, tens of machine guns with ammunition, tens of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as spare parts for howitzers,” Mūrniece told journalists, LRT reports.
