Latvia urges NATO to increase military support for Ukraine

President of Latvia, Egils Levits, had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Latvia, Krišjānis Kariņš, during which they discussed the matter of increasing military support to Ukraine. The country’s leaders called on NATO to provide more weapons to Ukraine to stop Russia’s aggression, the Ukrainian Embassy in Latvia reports.

The President of Latvia stated that “Latvia has provided very significant support to Ukraine. Within NATO, this military assistance needs to be increased, which is the key to a successful ending of the war.”

The Prime Minister of Latvia said that “Ukraine has to win this war. And it is very important that we help them with it. We have to stop Russia as an aggressor.”
