Latvian Сentral Bank issues a collection coin dedicated to Ukraine

Latvian central bank is issuing a silver coin dedicated to Ukraine’s persistent fight for freedom. It has not only symbolic but also practical significance. All the proceeds gained from each coin sale will be donated to Ukraine.

The author of the coin is the Ukrainian artist Serhiy Maidukov. He has chosen to focus the coin’s perspective on one Ukrainian word, “ВОЛЯ” (volia), which means FREEDOM, WILL and POWER. All these three meanings are carved in Lithuanian on the coin’s obverse.
