Latvians handed over 9,600 kilograms of various knitwear to Ukraine
Latvian residents have handed over 9,600 kilograms of various knitwear to Ukraine, Public Broadcasting of Latvia reports.
This weight equals about 96,000 pairs of knitted socks. The donated knits are further delivered to Ukrainian soldiers, civilians and war refugees. It’s the third knitting donation campaign in Latvia. During the initiative, Latvians were invited to donate all kinds and sizes of socks, gloves, scarves, and hats for adults.
