“Let us not forget the truth”: Jamala presented an album of Crimean Tatar songs Qırım in Liverpool

Jamala, the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar singer, Eurovision 2016 winner, premiered her new album Qirim to the world in Liverpool. The artist performed all of the songs live on the EuroFestival’s main stage, accompanied by the BBC Orchestra.
Jamala emphasized that Crimean Tatar music will be featured on the world music map for the first time. It should be noted that Qırım is a collection of traditional Crimean Tatar songs that the singer has been gathering for decades on the Crimean peninsula.
