Lithuanian medics went to Kharkiv region to provide help to Ukrainian people

Three Lithuanian medics went to Ukraine’s Kharkiv region to work there for a month and help Ukrainian people, LRT reports.
Nurses One Bartkienė and Vaiva Jankienė and a resident family physician Skirmantas Krunkaitis have already volunteered at Cherkasy Regional Hospital and outpatient clinics in the Bucha district.
The Vilnius-based NGO Blue/Yellow says the aim is to make it a long-term project rather than a one-off mission.
“This mission is expected to lay the foundations for the future work of other medical workers and to provide the necessary assistance to Ukrainian people and colleagues,” Krunkaitis said. Blood and urine analyzers, purchased by the Rotary Club, are also being sent to the Kharkiv region, with plans to buy and deliver medicines for the mission as well, according to Blue/Yellow.
