Man from Kharkiv region buried Ukrainian flags in the garden to save them from destruction by Russians

A man from Kharkiv region hid two Ukrainian flags in a jar and buried them in the garden so that Russian invaders would not destroy them, as soldiers from 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade reported.

The Ukrainian defenders said when Russians captured the village, the man managed to leave for the Ukraine-controlled territories. After the Ukrainian army liberated the area, the owner of the flags contacted the soldiers to dig up the hidden flags.

“The flag, signed by the soldiers from the Brigade, will be returned to the owner as a symbol of Ukrainian resistance. And soon the blue and yellow flags will fly on all the liberated Ukrainian lands!” the 103d Separate Territorial Defense Brigade said in the statement.
