Mariupol to receive French aid in developing coastal areas following deoccupation

Following a meeting between Mariupol mayor Vadym Boychenko and France’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins, the Mariupol City Council has confirmed that Mariupol will be able to get expert assistance from French towns in the development of infrastructure and coastal areas after future liberation from Russian occupation.

“France and Mariupol have developed friendly relations. We want to keep them alive and well. There are several French cities with geography similar to Mariupol, their experience can be useful for the Ukrainian city,” de Poncins said.
