Monks trained as firefighters to help local rescuers in Rivne region

The volunteer fire brigade partially consisting of monks amongst its members will operate in the Rivne region, reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Now, in addition to church worship, they will help professional rescuers.

Besides monks, the team also includes foresters and locals. It is the first fire brigade in Ukraine created on the territory of a monastery.
