More than 11,500 libraries in Ukraine continue to work despite the war

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine has prepared statistics on the work of libraries.

“Despite the state of war, libraries remain the center of our spirituality and cultural identity. We thank everyone who protects our literary heritage,” the message reads. They noticed that as of January 1, 2022, there were 14,511 public libraries, and in August 2022, their number decreased to 11,558 institutions.
