More than 60% of the city of Bakhmut destroyed

More than 60% of Bakhmut has been destroyed by Russian troops which continue their attempts to advance on the city, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko reports.

According to Kyrylenko, two civilians were killed on Jan. 4, 2022, as a result of Russian shelling of the city.

“No matter what attempts the enemy makes to enter the city, they do not advance. Whatever advances they made, they were driven back to their former positions, outside the city,” Kyrylenko told Ukrainian television.
