Mother of fallen Ukrainian pilot is setting up a rehabilitation center for fighters

Natalia Tarabalka, the mother of a fallen Ukrainian pilot, is using compensation money to set up a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian soldiers, the Ukrainian 1+1 TV channel reports.

Natalia’s son Stepan was killed in March 2022. He prevented the Russian invaders from attacking the Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr, thus saving entire residential blocks from an air attack. Stepan Tarabalka was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

The hero’s mother decided to invest a part of the money she received as government compensation after her son’s death into the construction rehabilitation center for Ukrainian fighters. It will be a health and wellness center to help the army veterans and their relatives to recover from the hell of the war.
