NATO doesn’t exclude the use of chemical weapons by Russia
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg does not exclude that Russia can fabricate circumstances to justify the usage of chemical weapons against Ukraine.
Stoltenberg stated that any use of chemical weapons would be a violation of international law and a violation of the ban on the use of chemical weapons. He said they urge Russia not to use chemical weapons, also ask to withdraw its forces and stop fighting, and, especially, not to use chemical weapons.
At the same time, he noted that Russia had previously used a chemical element to kill a political opponent, as well as supporting the Assad regime, which helped to simplify the use of chemical weapons.
